Lavender Dreams Bed and Breakfast Cottage is located 9
miles from I-5 heading south and 12 miles from I-5 if heading north near Redding, CA in a rural community
known as Happy Valley. The cottage is separate from our home with a private patio facing the pond that is
home to a variety of wildlife. We also raise Barbados sheep. Guests will enjoy a private and peaceful atmosphere
while experiencing pond life up close. We have added a side patio bordering a beautiful flower garden.
The pond changes with the seasons. In late winter a
few Canadian Geese arrive followed by the frogs and bullfrogs in late winter. Spring ushers
in our Barbados lambs and the pond comes to life with birds, fish, and several turtles. We frequently
have deer roaming through our neighbor's pecan orchard and the worst night visitors we've seen so far were a tree
full of racoons.
We're about 20 minutes from the Sun Dial Bridge and central Redding. The
casino is about a 10 minutes just at the end of Canyon Rd. The drive to our place is especially
beautiful in the spring and late autumn.
